Industrial/Commercial Size-Reduction Equipment

The performance of any size-reduction machine with a given material is
heavily dependent on the characteristics of the material.  Conversely, many
materials process better in one design of machine than another.  Thus,
size-reduction is often both material-specific and machine-sensitive.

Because selection of the proper size-reduction machine for an application is
material-specific, the correct choice of  equipment can only be made after
testing.   However, the following may serve as a general guideline, based on
experience, to select the initial machine for tests.

Machine	Application	Comments

Lump Buster	Foundries, chemical plants, spice, baking goods, pharmaceutical plants.	Especially good in the food and pharmaceutical industries for breaking friable materials that don't need heavy pounding.
Lump Abrador	Food processing plants, powder and packaging plants, pharmaceutical plants.	Excellent for those operations using products that are very crumbly and friable. For use in flow lines prior to conveyors.
Particle-izer	Non-friable materials such as wood, plastics and composites in industrial, commercial and pharmaceutical plants.	For use where general size reduction is needed to eliminate bulk or to break down material for special applications.
High torque shredders	Wood, glass, plastic, rubber, metal cans, paper. Many industrial, commercial and pharmaceutical applications.	Use where busting and crushing systems don't work: solid chemicals, meats, cosmetics, phone books, etc.
Screw Conveyer	Chemical, food, processing plants and many industrial and commercial product conveying operations.	Use where product must be moved through a system or to a station. Full line of conveyor tubes 6" through 12" diameter.
Bag Dump Stations	Any operation where bags of product must be moved and opened manually.	These stations can be used in conjunction with lump buster, lump abrador and screw conveying systems and can be designed into a Jersey Chrusher, Inc. system
Systems	Lump busting, lump abrading, shredding and crushing operations.	Complete system including lump buster, lump abrador, shredder, screw conveyor and bag dump stations. Dust collectors are also available.
