Accurate, Linear, Controllable Vibratory Volumetric &
Loss-in-Weight Feeders. [Product photos - see below]
Arbo manufactures highly accurate vibrating-tray volumetric and loss-in-weight feeders for
a wide range of dry-bulk material-handling & control applications. These
offer economical accuracy, linearity, high turn-down ratio, and material capability that
far exceed older screw-feed technology.
High-ratio, linearity, and NO replacement barrels & screws: The core of the
economical, wide-range ARBO feeder is the proven, pore multiple replacement screws and
barrels common to screw-type feeders and also makes fast/dribble for gain-in-weight
bulk-fill unusually accurate and fast. Further, it eliminates the cumbersome,
expensive, maintenance-heavy motors, gears, and bearings of older-technology screw
feeders.
For example, the same tray will handle 10 to 1,000 lbs/hr without mechanical
change-over. You get high linearity and unexpectedly high control over a wide range
without stocking and changing parts. Rate changes can be simply controller-reset
on-line manually, automatically, or by program. Capacities range from ounces to 10,000 lbs
/ hour.
How it works: The unique Arbo design maintains the resonant frequency of the drive,
tray, & material to provide constant amplitude. The result is unparalleled
accuracy guaranteed.
Arbo's Resonant Vibration System (RVS) adjusts vibration frequency to maintain the
constant set amplitude. Because amplitude determines feed rate, the RVS constantly
monitors and maintains amplitude by adjusting the frequency of the tray and material, to
match the system's resonant frequency. A sensor mounted in the sealed maintenance-free
drive measures the vibration amplitude w/ feedback to the SCR.The SCR:
varies the frequency of the system to the resonance point,
- and -
maintains the vibration amplitude at this desired set-point in response
to load
Hence, the accuracy of this volumetric feeder approaches gravimetric L-I-W feeding because
it inherently adjusts to changes in flow rate regardless of material density.
Other vibratory devices aren't linear and their max turn-down ratios don't exceed
10:1.
We stock a demo volumetric unit which we can bring or send, and Arbo supports a complete
customer-service lab. Please challenge us to prove the Arbo with your
difficult or delicate materials in your process at your facility or Arbo's lab.
